December 3rd, 2008 by jaykishor and tagged , , ,

Nokia N97 will launch till April 2009 globally. It will be available on euro 550 (Rs 36,300) prices which is little bit high from Apple iPhone. Prices are not matter but the touchscreen phone really will challenge the iPhone with its key features, OS and its design.

About the Nokia N97 touchscreen phone it is being said that the phone is mini computer and not for general users like iPhone. It is latest smart-phone from N-series by Nokia Company which is now world’s largest cellular company.

The Nokia N97 is coming with microSD (TransFlash) and up to 16GB external memory card however it has 32GB internal memory. It has wide 3.5″ TFT touchscreen and 16M colours. It has full physical QWERTY keyboard and Video Calling also. The phone is 3G HSDPA 3.6Mbps. Nokia N97 has GPRS Class 32. It comes with 5 mega pixel camera with flash. However, today in the market phones are with 8 mega pixel.

The searches for Nokia N97 globally have increased tremendously and I think it is going to be popular like Apple iPhone.

About the Nokia N97 the company Nokia Company announced, “The world’s most advanced mobile computer, which will transform the way people connect to the Internet and to each other.” The phone will be in wide screen like iPhone. The touchscreen phone will challenge not only the iPhone but also other touchscreen mobiles also.

The phone operating system will be on Symbian. The announcement for it already in news that Nokia N97 will run on the Symbian OS which is running under an open-source license.

According to the news.cnet.com, “The N97 also introduces something Nokia calls “social location,” which uses the capabilities of the integrated A-GPS sensors and electronic compass to automatically update users’ social networks, or let them share their location via photos or videos with friends.”

So, I think the phone really will lead the future market of mobile industry and will challenge the Apple iPhone and other touchscreen mobile phones.

Let see what happen in future because most of the touchscreen mobile phones are failed to become challenger of iPhone but the people opinions and search on the web shows the reality of the Nokia N97 as a big challenger of iPhone.
